Sociology and Contemporary Social Transformations is an annual international conference of young scientists held by the Faculty of Sociology of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

In 2020, the Conference will be held online on November 19-20.

Undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students, as well as other young scholars are invited to participate in the proceedings by contributing to one of the key subjects of the Conference:

• Classical and contemporary sociology in the explanation of ongoing transformations of Ukrainian society

• Social and cultural challenges of ongoing transformations of Ukrainian society

• Social consequences of contemporary social transformations

• Methodology and methods in the research of contemporary societal transformations

 

Working languages are Ukrainian, English.

 

Registration and abstract submission deadline is November, 17.

There is no fee for participating in the Conference and publishing the abstracts. The conference proceedings will be published on the official website of the Faculty of Sociology.

At the request of any participant, the organizing committee will provide paper copies of the proceedings. In this case, the participant must pay the organizational fee of UAH 250 (approx. USD 10) and cover postage.

​

Upon registration, applicants should submit their abstracts to the organizing committee’s email (naukove.tovaristvo@gmail.com) under the subject “abstract”.

 

The name of your file must begin with your last name.

 

Requirements to abstracts

 

The organizing committee at its own discretion will select and edit submitted abstracts. The abstracts containing any portions of plagiarism will be disqualified. Authors are responsible for the correctness of facts, empirical data, quotations, statistics, and proper names presented in the abstract.

 

The size of the abstract is up to 4 pages of А4 format, font size 14, interline spacing 1, Arial font, all margins are 20 millimeters. No automatic hyphenation. Text highlighting is in bold italics. Automatic first line indentation of each paragraph by 12.5 millimeters.

 

Citation example: [4, p.23]. References must be placed in the order of citation, font size 12.
